You didn’t share much detail regarding this specific condition.  For instance how you came to this description, the severity of symptoms, or their duration.

I have heard from several people with very distressing colitis symptoms being very satisfied with relief from eating several chunks of crude propolis or non alcoholic solution of propolis throughout the day.  Regularity of this regimen was reported to be of utmost importance.  They report that honey was a very soothing addition to this practice.  I seem to rememeber reports of substancial improvement and relief within a 4-10 period.

Please let us all know what you do in this regard and what you believe to be the result!

Hello.  Ulcerative collitis is a severe medical condition and should be managed by a trained professional. There are many components to deal with such as immune dysregulation,  inflammation, dysbiosis of the gut (bacteria imbalance) and food allergies.  That said, apitherapy products can be very beneficial adjuncts to care.  Propolis can modulate inflammation, reduce pain and heal ulcers.  Honey can soothe the intesitnal tract, protect the mucosa, aid digestion etc.  Royal jelly can also act as a modulator to the endocrine system but how, when and why to utilize each one requires significant training.

I would suggest finding a natural medicine provider who can navigate all these factors and implement the appropriate therapy, typically in combination with other herbs, supplements and dietary advice.

Good luck!

Thanks for your comments!
My husband sees a gastroenterologist for his ulcerative colitis. His doctor is very competent, but doesn’t offer any nutritional or natural guidance. If anyone knows of a specialist in the NY area who might be able to offer more specific assistance in utilizing apitherapy for gastrointestinal therapy, I’d be grateful for any suggestions.
