I need reasurance about BVT & MS. I am a true believer (past experience) Do I stop my meds? I seen my DR. yesterday and was very disapointed about what he had to say, evidently he has not researched about BVT at all, very discourageing. He also wants me to go on Steroids for 3 days to get me over this bad hump I am going through. I am very against steroids, he said I am giving you this script and it is up to you. Although you can not do the BVT and steroidas, if I do steroids I have to wait 6 wks before starting BVT. Can anyone help me.

                                                Jennifer

Does anyone know if propolis can be used to treat Lyme Disease and if so, what would be the protocol?

When taking propolis, are the beneficial bacteria in the recipient’s digestive system killed off and probiotics needed to repopulate them as with conventional antibiotics?

Thanks ahead of time for any help you can provide on this topic.

My wife and I are almost ready to start BVT. She takes Beta Seron for MS, baclofen, a muscle relaxer and sertraline for depression. Should she stop these drugs so that BVT will work properly? Your opinion will help.

My wife has MS. She was diagnosed about 5 years ago. We live in North Idaho. No one here seems to know anything about apitherapy. She is diabetic. She uses interferon beta 1b for MS. Can injectable bee venom be purchased or do you have to be a doctor? What about bee venom balm? Might it help? Does your book about apitherapy have info enough for me to get started by myself? We would like to try and learn. If it works it would be a miracle.

I have some bee venom extract that I obtained from New Zeland which I have stored in the refrigerator for years which is now, I understand, illegal to be sent into the USA. I have a back injury from an auto accident and it is the only thing that reduces the inflammation and takes the pain away for days on end. Not able to obtain the bee venom cream anymore, I joined the Apitherapy Society, hoping to get a list of apitherapists who can help me using the live bees, instead of the (now unavailable) cream.

A side effect of the cream appears to be that I have lost my gluten intollerance after my last accidental overdose of it when I accidentaly put too much on my back! What a pleasant surprise! If anyone knows of anyone who is producing bee venom extract (high potency, not 7% which, yes, I’ve been able to obtain but which does scant to relieve my pain) I would appreciate knowing. Helping my back injury and gluten intolerance at the same time! First time in years I’ve been able to enjoy wheat without nasty intestinal side effects. Simply WONDERFUL!

Thank you for reading.

This article appeared in the Jan 15, 2010 edition of the newspaper. Is this an accurate assessment of the state of Apitherapy in the US?

Gangrene lesions

I encounter two cases of gangrene lesions, during the last six months, that got significantly better using a propolis salve (beeswax, propolis, sweet almond oil, grapefruit seed extract, lavender). An 85 years old diabetic man had a severe lesion on his leg due to a fall. After 5 days using the salve and Propolis capsules (2 capsules every 8 hrs for at least 15 days) by mouth, the skin got the pink color back. After a few months he is still OK. Never went to the doctor for this.
The other case is a 30 years old diabetic man who’s doctor told him that the amputation of his leg was necessary. After a few weeks he went for an appoinment and to the doctor’s surprise the leg was healed and “no surgery will be needed at this point” according to the doctor.
I learned to prepare this salve from Ms. Keller and so far it helped me and a lot of people with various ailments.
I recommend every one to prepare it and have it handy.

First Sting

I just joined the Apitherapy Society and I wanted to find some information of the treatment of athralgias, myalgias and other chronic pain conditions using Bee Venom Therapy. I had my first sting today and had no (anaphlactic) reaction. I had minimal swelling and some redness at the site of the sting (left knee). I will know better later this evening if I have any symptom relief, as my symptoms are worse in the late evening. I left the stinger in until the ‘beating’ stopped, which totaled about three minutes. Please share your experiences good or bad! Thank you.
